Hey Folks,
Twitter is twittering, Facebook is buzzing, blogs are posting, radio shows are talking, books are being written, crowds are forming.
All the noise is about the amazing impact of the Impact Action Team and faculty at Impact Boot Camp.
You won’t believe what is coming next!
The Sheraton Bucks County was at 100% capacity as the Impact Action Team swarmed into the hotel lobby starting Thursday afternoon. It’s a good thing that we were planning to meet in the lobby since getting rooms was a bit slow, but the hotel was kind enough to throw us a special reception and we all enjoyed greeting friends and meeting new ones.
The networking continued into the night and then the wee hours of the morning and confusion was rampant!
What the heck was Ken McArthur trying to pull off this time!
Hopefully, something amazing!
Early Friday morning we gathered for the initial session. The Impact Action Team members were seated across the front of the room with over 100 attendees watching to see what would happen.
Little did they know!
As I started the first session, I knew a little more than the attendees, but clearly this event was designed for participation and creative masterminding and even though I knew that amazing things would happen, I had no idea of the scope that this amazing event would take on — eagerly pushed by our wonderful attendees and Action Team Members.
What kind of project would we work on?
One of the key points that I make in Impact: How to Get Noticed Motivate Millions and Make a Difference in a Noisy World is that ANYONE can make a difference if they apply the principles from this book.
So when I decided to create a case study to prove just that, the options were all over the place!
For weeks, I listened to stories of people who were trying to make a difference in a noisy world. Our own Impact Action Team members each had a story of people who needed to be helped and lives that needed to change.
Over and over my mind kept coming back to the simple story of Deremiah *CPE as he shared it to me sitting in the car one night at jvAlert Live.
So what’s his story?
Coming out of poverty, moving into middle income America to be jerked back into living below the poverty level is quite painful.
In Deremiah’s case, it was coupled with gang violence, welfare, government cheese and a move to one of the wildest high schools on Chicago’s South Side.
Struggling with depression and crying profusely for weeks on end Deremiah lost hope in everything including his self.
His dreams were destroyed. It seemed he had nothing to live for and with his father now stationed on the other side of the planet and his mother still struggling to maintain her emotional stability Deremiah gave up.
He no longer wanted to live.
And then Deremiah changed.
Deremiah found his faith and his hope for the future was replaced with a bigger mission to help hurting children and Deremiah has been reaching out ever since to at-risk children and making a difference in their lives.
I decided that we would take Deremiah’s project and make it our own.
It’s an amazing project!
Someone attempts suicide every 39 seconds and it effects everyone. Sitting around our table at lunch ALL of us had been touched and 2 out of four people had someone actually commit suicide in front of them.
It’s a problem that is silent but deadly, so now we have a project … what’s next?
Let’s get some training!

Boy did we get training!
Dr. Ron Capps, the Niche Prof led the charge by teaching us how to use social media sites to build real relationships and visibility. Frank Sousa talked about the importance of having an impact and the power of video. Sanyika Calloway Boyce showed us how to use the power of getting on TV and radio to enhance our messages and build credibility.
Then the Masterminds Started!
Breaking into mastermind groups, we covered a wide range of topics to see how we could work together to generate …
- Awareness of the problem of suicide
- Educational Materials
- Access to Help and Resources
Each group was assisted by members of our Impact Faculty and Impact Action Team Members as we worked together to make sure that we created a master plan, timeline and great ideas to put into action. Here are some of the areas we covered.
- Blogs
- Branding
- Credibility and Publishing
- Photography
- P/R, Radio and Television
- Research
- Social Media
- Speaking
- Sponsorships
- Videos
Our master plan involves spreading the word about the fact that ANYONE can make a positive difference, Deremiah *CPE’s unique story and the importance of creating awareness, education and access to help and resources in the area of suicide.
On September 26th, 27th and 28th the Impact Action Team will travel to Brendon Burchard’s Life’s Golden Ticket Super Seminar where we will enlist the aide of over 2,000 people live at the event as well as people and organizations around the world as we get noticed, motivate millions and make a difference in a noisy world.
Throughout the event the attendees and Impact Action Team members were coached by our exciting faculty including, Donna Fox who talked about marketing to women, Warren Whitlock who talked about using books to gain credibility, Mary Mazzullo who taught us how to take impactful photographs, Carrie Wilkerson, the “Barefoot Executive” who taught us about building lists and Felicia Slattery who talked about creating a “Signature Speach.”
Throughout the event, we practiced and planned and the groups were able to come up with amazing resources that will help Deremiah *CPE to create his own book, facilitate radio and television appearances, gather sponsors, leverage existing research and resources, interface with existing organizations and leverage their platforms to amazing reach throughout the world.

On Sunday, we were dazzled by an entire morning with the dynamic best-selling author of Life’s Golden Ticket, Brendon Burchard who shared his vision and showed us exactly how to use existing organizations to reach millions with our ideas, products and services.
So what’s next?
Each of our teams has an amazing assignment to create impact over the next month and onward until the end of the year.
Here are just a few ways that you can get involved right now:
Stay tuned for more updates and amazing news!
