Here's Something You Can Do TODAY
To Save Someone's Life!
Hey
Folks,
I'm a big believer that SMALL actions are what
make the most difference in this noisy world.
Because I sat talking to Deremiah, *CPE in a
parking lot late one night a whole series of events took place that
have touched literally MILLIONS of people.
I believe that YOUR small actions can make a
difference like that too, because every person that we touch touches
the lives of thousands of people.
You make a difference today, even if you do
nothing! Even if you don't WANT to make a difference.
It's unavoidable.
I'm hoping right now that you KNOW right now that
you can make a difference in a POSITIVE way even when it seems so
hard to get your voice heard.
Today I'm asking you to do three simple things
that can help millions of people touched by the tragedy of teen
suicide.
Today someone is out there thinking that their life doesn't
matter.
NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE
TRUTH!
We all make a huge difference and together we can
do so much more than we can alone.
Today, I would LOVE to have you join me and the
Impact Action Team as we experience the adventure together, raise
awareness of what we can do to help prevent teen suicide, provide
access to help and resources and funding for the support of teen
suicide prevention organizations.
There are THREE things that you can do right now.
1. Spread our G-I-V-E message to everyone you know
- G – Greet and meet: talk to
others, smile, say hello, ask someone how they are doing
- I – Involve yourself and
others: find a cause you can support, volunteer, pledge
resources. Get the people around you involved, especially if you
see someone beginning to withdraw. Invite them to participate in
some activity, to “get out” of their comfort zone
- V – Validate others: tell
others that they matter – especially family members and friends
that you tend to see daily but may take for granted, give
genuine complements
- E – Empathize: be a
listening ear, take time to be fully present, don’t try to solve
– just acknowledge someone’s feeling/hurt
You can spread this important message with
individuals or thousands at a time by utilizing the power of the
media, existing contacts, organizations and groups.
2. Financially support the
Jason Foundation
or
Light for Life,
amazing organizations with proven track records fight to help prevent teen
suicide.
3. Connect an Impact Action Team Member to someone
that you know can help spread the word.
Do you know someone who has access to an audience
of thousands? Why not introduce us!
You may know leaders in business, government,
non-profit organizations or the media. Who can you think of
right now who you could personally introduce us to that could make a
difference and have a real impact on millions of people at risk
today.
Thanks so much for your encouragement and support!
All the best,
